How Orange Prepared For Its Sap Businessobjects Migration

Orange, the French telecommunications company, needed to prepare for a major SAP BusinessObjects migration from XI 3.1 to BI 4.2 across about 100 projects and applications, including the consolidation of three different platforms into one. To support this effort, Orange worked with Wiiisdom and used its 360Suite products, including 360Eyes and 360Bind, to understand what was in use, define the migration scope, and size the target environment.

Wiiisdom helped Orange perform in-depth BI-on-BI auditing and regression testing so the team could validate reports before and after migration and repair issues more efficiently. With 360Eyes, Orange analyzed usage, instances, and server demand, and with 360Bind, it compared reports across versions, making validation at least 12 times more effective and saving 385 hours of work. The tools also helped identify and fix document issues, enabling a smoother migration to BI 4.2.
