a major youth soccer event, MLS NEXT Fest, faced operational challenges with their manual check-in and meal voucher process for hundreds of coaches and scouts. Their large, multi-field venue and peak check-in times led to long wait times, frustration, and a bad first impression. They partnered with vendor Wicket to implement a new system to streamline these operations.
Wicket provided a platform for pre-event enrollment and express check-in kiosks. Coaches pre-registered with their photo and were then identified in under one second upon arrival for a "just walk up" experience. This solution processed over 1,000 successful transactions for nearly 500 enrolled users, resulting in virtually no wait times, better accountability of meal vouchers, and a greatly improved guest experience.
