The New Orleans Saints sought to improve the access control system at their multi-use Ochsner Sports Performance Center. Their existing facial biometric system was failing to deliver a good user experience, particularly in variable lighting conditions. This led them to partner with Verizon, who introduced them to the Wicket access platform as a modern alternative.
Wicket implemented its solution by deploying nearly 30 Wicket Edge sensors across both interior and exterior access points. The system featured a streamlined, centralized onboarding process and versatile hardware. This resulted in a vastly improved user experience, with 750 users enrolling and the system processing over 350,000 entries with an average speed of 203 milliseconds.
