A Wicket Case Study

How the Wicket platform helped offset long wait times at the “Super Bowl of AI”

NVIDIA, one of the world's largest companies, faced significant long lines and wait times for attendees at its marquee GTC AI conference. The challenge of slow, manual badge scans created a burden on staff and a poor experience for guests, prompting NVIDIA to seek an innovative solution. They partnered with vendor Wicket to implement its facial authentication platform to streamline event access.

Wicket deployed its express check-in and session entry solution, which was integrated with the event's RainFocus platform. The implementation included multiple express lanes where enrolled attendees could be identified and have their badge printed in approximately 15 seconds. The results were substantial, with over 18,000 attendees enrolling for express entry. The Wicket system successfully facilitated over 9,000 check-ins and 3,000 session scans across seven venues, dramatically improving throughput and operational flexibility for the event staff.
