How Florida Quickly Deployed Wicket to Get Students into “The Swamp” Faster

The University of Florida Athletics faced a challenge with slow entry lines for students at their football games in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. They partnered with the vendor Wicket to implement an express entry program as a pilot to streamline the ticketing process and get students into the stadium faster.

Wicket deployed its express entry solution for a two-game pilot. The implementation included custom-branded scanning hardware, dedicated entry lanes, and a targeted marketing campaign. The results were highly successful, with over 800 students enrolling in the program and over 735 tickets scanned through the express lanes, which saw no lines. Participants entered the stadium four times faster, and there were zero opt-outs from the service.
