ThinkChicago brought college students from 125 universities to its ThinkChicago: Lollapalooza VIP tour to connect them with Chicago’s tech industry, but needed a way to keep 143 university representatives informed and significantly boost networking. In 2014 ThinkChicago adopted the Whova event app to deliver agendas, maps, attendee lists and professional profiles to attendees.

Whova implemented its mobile platform with 143 professional profiles, a three-day agenda, attendee list, maps, event overview and a self-guided tour, plus networking features like Discover, Exchange and Bookmark. As a result Whova achieved a 78% attendee download rate and roughly 60% active user engagement, simplifying introductions and helping attendees make meaningful connections.
