ShiftCon - Customer Case Study

ShiftCon, the first international social media conference focused on wellness and the environment, ran a three-day event in Los Angeles in 2014 and wanted to boost attendee engagement, sponsor visibility, and social-media interaction. To achieve this, ShiftCon partnered with Whova and used the Whova event app to power networking, logistics, and sponsor promotion across the conference.

Whova implemented enhanced sponsor pages with detailed descriptions and social links, hashtag and social-feed integration across logistics and sessions, and support for incentive-driven activities like giveaways and photo contests. As a result, Whova helped drive 4,784 total in-app actions and 1,767 networking actions during the event, increasing attendee interaction, sponsor engagement, and overall social media activity.
