University of South Carolina launches a Whop-hosted podcast with 64 students and wins a USASBE 3E Award

The University of South Carolina sought to enhance its experiential entrepreneurship education by moving beyond traditional written assignments. Dr. Geoffrey Graybeal's consulting class needed a public-facing, hands-on project that would allow students to reflect on their real-world client work in a more engaging and modern format. They turned to Whop to utilize its platform for hosting and distributing a podcast.

Using Whop, the students produced and launched the "Scrumming Along" podcast, which served as their reflective assignment. The solution enabled them to manage all aspects of the podcast, from content creation to distribution. As a result, the project won a USASBE 3E Award for Excellence in Experiential Entrepreneurship Education. The podcast's success was so significant that it continued beyond the initial semester and is now used as a case study for other classes, demonstrating Whop's effective role in facilitating real-world learning.
