A Whop Case Study
Michigan State University faced a challenge in modernizing its entrepreneurship curriculum, which traditionally focused on theoretical case studies rather than hands-on experience. The university needed a way for students to practically learn how to create, sell, and scale a real business without facing significant technical or financial barriers. To address this, MSU partnered with Whop and its no-code platform.
Using Whop's free platform, MSU implemented a mandatory five-week sprint where students were required to launch a real online business. This solution allowed over 350 students to build and launch their own ventures before graduating, with no personal investment. The measurable impact for Whop includes nearly 4,000 student businesses launched through its university program, with a goal of reaching 100,000 students across 1,000 universities by 2026.
