With millions of airbags at risk and many users needing a mobile or non-internet option, FCAI partnered with Whispir to provide a simple public safety check service.
Whispir implemented an SMS-based solution, powered by AWS Lambda, that let people text “Takata” to 0487 247 224 and receive an instant response about their airbag status. The platform was built to be rapid, reliable, and infinitely scalable, handling thousands of requests in seconds and enabling users to check multiple vehicles—helping FCAI support the recall and protect lives at nationwide scale.
