Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has selected a WhereScape Data Warehouse Automation solution to enable quick and iterative delivery of their Business Intelligence (BI) goals

Volkswagen (Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles / VGSG) faced a need to deliver Business Intelligence quickly and iteratively, with the ability to change a single component and have dependent components update automatically. To move away from traditional bottom-up BI design and enable efficient data management, they selected the WhereScape Data Warehouse Automation solution to define metadata-driven rules and auto-generate ETL/ELT components.

WhereScape ran a successful 3-day proof of concept and was deployed across multiple projects; the WhereScape solution enabled the ELT import process to deliver data to the technical warehouse layer six times faster, improved documentation and standardization via templates, and allowed rapid prototyping and earlier data visibility for business users.
