Micron Delivers Same-Day Service for New Data Warehouse Solutions

Micron, a global semiconductor manufacturer, faced slow, inconsistent access to manufacturing data across its 12 sites that forced users to query OLTP systems and created duplicated, one-off data work. To accelerate analytics and standardize its data warehouse approach, Micron selected WhereScape (using WhereScape 3D and WhereScape RED) alongside a Data Vault 2.0 methodology and a Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance 2800 platform.

Using agile SCRUM teams and WhereScape automation, Micron built the foundation of a global enterprise data warehouse in about 90 days and began delivering new data warehouse prototypes in under an hour. WhereScape’s tools generated native Teradata code, automated documentation and lineage, and enabled same‑day responses to business requests while improving speed, quality, consistency and transparency across Micron’s data solutions.
