How Admiral Insured Itself Against Excessive Time to Value

Admiral Group, a Cardiff-based insurance business, struggled with slow, error-prone hand-coding, delayed deployments and poor lineage that blocked agile delivery and fast insight. To modernize its data warehouse and speed BI reporting, Admiral adopted WhereScape automation—using WhereScape 3D and WhereScape RED alongside Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server—to replace manual coding with a repeatable, wizard-driven framework.

WhereScape automated Admiral’s data modeling, code generation and deployments, allowing prototypes in WhereScape 3D to be converted to production with WhereScape RED. As a result, time to production dropped from about a week to under a day, bug-fix turnaround fell from two weeks to two hours, dashboard refreshes moved to ~50 seconds, daily ingestion now takes nine minutes, and Admiral delivered four projects in six months while gaining automatic documentation, lineage and platform-agnostic migration capability.
