Auckland Council - Customer Case Study

Auckland Council, created by merging eight separate councils and supporting over 8,000 staff, faced fragmented systems, slow manual reporting and gaps in departmental information that hindered decision making. They engaged WhereScape to develop an Enterprise Data Warehouse, using WhereScape RED to integrate disparate data sources and standardise reporting across the organisation.

WhereScape implemented a business-aligned data warehouse and reporting platform (leveraging WhereScape RED and 3D), using short iterative cycles to deliver dashboards and a single source of truth for HR, assets and finance. The WhereScape solution delivered faster time to value (cited improvements of 2–10×), reduced time and budget compared with traditional BI/DW projects, and enabled quicker, more accurate decisions across the council.
