vVenues, spun out from Stockholm agency Onemotion, faced the urgent challenge of replacing high-quality in-person events when the pandemic hit. They needed an integrated, GDPR-compliant video solution that kept attendees inside a branded experience, so they chose Whereby and its Whereby Embedded product to power their virtual event platform.

Whereby Embedded was integrated to deliver automated, in-platform video rooms, one-on-one “speed-dating,” and hybrid exhibitor booths so attendees could navigate events seamlessly. With Whereby’s support, vVenues has run over 350 events (including a 42,500-attendee event across 130 countries), achieved 82% of attendees reporting the experience felt like in-person, and is scaling to 65 markets and thousands of events per month.
