BuyaCar - Customer Case Study

BuyaCar, an online automotive retailer owned by Dennis, needed to validate a novel "build‑to‑order" car configuration feature and ensure its design met real user needs before full development. To avoid assumptions and costly rework, BuyaCar ran remote UX testing of low‑ and high‑fidelity prototypes (built in Marvel) and the pre‑launch site using WhatUsersDo’s remote testing service and panel.

WhatUsersDo recruited target users, designed tasks, recorded think‑aloud sessions and produced tagged insights and clips that BuyaCar used to prioritize fixes and create development tickets. The testing validated demand for the feature, confirmed users could complete the end‑to‑end journey, surfaced the need for trust signals (added brand logos in the footer), and triggered an ongoing programme of design and conversion optimisation — enabling BuyaCar to launch with greater confidence and avoid costly oversights.
