A WhatUsersDo Case Study
Brook, the UK sexual health charity for young people under 25, faced a mobile content challenge: over 60% of its traffic came from smartphones and key pages had grown much longer, with unclear section names (notably the term “service”) and buried content. To get fresh, candid input from its target audience, Brook used remote UX testing with WhatUsersDo to observe 18–29 year-olds completing key tasks and to capture first impressions, navigation clarity, and content usefulness.
WhatUsersDo’s remote testing led Brook to redesign its mobile template, add cross-links, and relabel and improve the Find a Service section based on user feedback. The changes drove measurable impact: 859,682 organic sessions from March 2015–February 2016, the Find a Service page rose to No.2 among top pages in Google, and Brook gained a clear web usability score and actionable insights that complemented academic research and ongoing improvements.
