Spottke Versicherungen, an auto insurance broker in Berlin, serves a customer base made up largely of immigrants from Turkey and the Middle East, many of whom prefer to communicate via WhatsApp. Before adopting the WhatsApp Business app, the company dealt with heavy in-person traffic, long wait times, and a lot of paperwork.

By using the WhatsApp Business app from WhatsApp, Spottke Versicherungen began exchanging documents and files digitally, especially from a desktop computer. The result was a 95% reduction in paperwork, around 20% customer growth, and a dramatic drop in office visits, with daily in-person customers falling from as many as 30 to about 10 while WhatsApp messages increased to as many as 30 per day.
