PetChef, a Rio de Janeiro-based maker of fresh, chemical- and preservative-free dog food, needed a better way to manage growing customer communication as its word-of-mouth business expanded to 500 clients. The company used WhatsApp to coordinate production and orders from the start, then moved to the WhatsApp Business app in December 2018 to formalize customer interactions.
With the WhatsApp Business app, PetChef improved customer communication through a business profile and away messages, and WhatsApp now supports 80% of its external communications. The shift also led to a 50% increase in messages received, with about 10 customers contacting the company daily, helping PetChef respond faster and spend more time perfecting its recipes.
