PlayOJO, an online casino and gaming platform, needed a more personalized and scalable way to onboard players and explain its features. Its old static slideshow approach created drop-offs, didn’t address pain points like verification document uploads, and required IT support for updates. Whatfix helped PlayOJO deliver guided in-app flows, pop-ups, beacons, self-help, and targeted promotions for features like “Hot or Cold” and daily “Kickers.” The results included 500,000 users engaging with in-app flows in six months, 25,000 support tickets eliminated year over year, and 62,000 users engaging with the “Hot or Cold explained” flow. PlayOJO also saw a 40% uplift in opt-ins for one promotion and a 165% increase in times played plus a 154% increase in completion after onboarding changes powered by Whatfix.
