How Trotec Laser Reduced Their Salesforce Training Efforts By 60% With Whatfix

Trotec Laser GmbH, a global leader in laser systems with over 30,000 installations across 90+ countries and 550 employees, rolled out Salesforce Lightning across several European regions and faced a major adoption challenge. Although they used Moodle as their LMS, creating Salesforce training courses on Moodle was slow (30–40 days per course) and not scalable to match their rollout, leaving them in need of a faster, more consistent change-management and training approach.

Trotec selected Whatfix for its in-app interactive walkthroughs and SCORM-compliant LMS integration, enabling reuse of walkthroughs inside Moodle and live contextual help in Salesforce. Since deploying Whatfix in July 2017, Trotec cut training and documentation effort by about 60%, reduced content creation time by up to 50%, can track Moodle course completion via SCORM, and plans to extend interactive guidance to other in-house applications.
