Land Rover partners with what3words to take off-road driving in a new direction with the ARDHI app

Land Rover’s ARDHI off-roading app helps drivers discover and share routes across the Middle East and Africa, from Dubai dunes to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Because many routes leave mapped roads, the app needed a simple, reliable way to identify and share precise locations — GPS coordinates are accurate but cumbersome and error‑prone for users.

ARDHI integrated what3words so every 3m x 3m location has a memorable three‑word address that can be used as destinations or waypoints and works offline. The result: easier route planning and meetups, faster and more accurate emergency recovery, and wider user confidence — backed by Land Rover and supported by what3words’ global adoption in 170+ countries.
