evway is an online map and app that lists 120,000 EV charging points across Europe, but many chargers are hard to describe because they sit on roadside or in parks without conventional addresses. That made it difficult for drivers to find exact locations and to plan routes without risking running out of power.

To solve this, evway integrated what3words — a system that gives every 3m x 3m square a unique three‑word address — and now provides a 3‑word address for every charging station. Users can search by any 3‑word address (including their current location) to find nearby chargers, improving searchability and route planning so drivers can locate stations precisely and travel with confidence.
