ReittiGPS, the iPhone journey planner used in the Helsinki and Tampere regions, wanted to help users find more precise start and finish points and share locations more easily. After the launch of what3words in Finnish, ReittiGPS integrated what3words’ 3 word addresses into its app to improve route planning and location sharing.

With what3words, ReittiGPS can now pinpoint exact places that may not have a postal address, such as building entrances, fishing spots, or park meeting points. The solution made navigation more specific and easier to use, improving accuracy beyond GPS coordinates and enabling users to discover and share addresses in Finnish.
