Gulf News relaunched its online classifieds platform, getthat.com, to help people buy, sell and find services across the UAE. A key challenge was that formal addresses in the rapidly changing UAE are often unreliable, so buyers and sellers struggle to meet or find properties using conventional street addresses and landmarks.

To solve this, getthat integrated what3words, letting sellers add a unique 3‑word address for each listing that pinpoints a 3×3 m location. Buyers can enter the 3 words into the free what3words app or map and get precise directions via their preferred navigation app, simplifying meetups and making property and item transactions easier and more reliable.
