3 words to direct #AccessibleOlli with what3words and Local Motors

Local Motors developed Olli, a self-driving shuttle, and faced the challenge of making #AccessibleOlli easier to use for passengers with disabilities or limited mobility. To improve voice-based navigation, Local Motors turned to what3words so riders could direct the vehicle using just three words to reach a precise location.

what3words was built into #AccessibleOlli to enable navigation to any 3m x 3m square worldwide through voice input, with error prevention and AutoSuggest helping correct misheard or mistyped words. The result was more accurate, accessible wayfinding: passengers could direct Olli to exact entrances or drop-off points, and the system could detect and fix mistakes using the vehicle’s location.
