Google creates 3 new voice assistant features with WGSN for PwD accessibility

Google, the technology company, partnered with vendor WGSN, specifically its WGSN Mindset service, to address the challenge of making its Google Assistant product more accessible and relevant for people with disabilities (PwDs) in Latin America. This initiative was part of Google's broader plan for digital transformation in the region, aiming to update its products to better include PwD users.

WGSN implemented a multi-phase research study called "Projeto Autonomia" that combined platform analysis, user interviews, and workshops in Brazil and Mexico. The solution delivered by WGSN included three complete new voice assistant functions, a map of additional opportunities for Google's teams, and insights into user barriers. The result was a comprehensive study that provided Google with creative and innovative information to improve its products, making them more relevant to the daily lives of people with disabilities and highlighting accessibility as a key driver of innovation.
