KIVI launches smart TV remote app with Wezom, surpassing 10,000 Google Play downloads

KIVI, an international developer and manufacturer of smart TVs, approached vendor Wezom with the challenge of creating a mobile application to turn a smartphone into a full-fledged remote control for their TVs. The goal was to provide this functionality for both iOS and Android devices, which was not natively supported by the platforms.

Wezom developed two native mobile applications using Swift and Java. The solution replaced the physical remote, allowing users to switch between TVs, launch TV apps, use a smartphone keyboard for text input, and utilize a touchpad. As a result of the collaboration, KIVI received two ready-made applications and their backend. The Android app was downloaded more than 10,000 times following its launch on Google Play.
