The State of Georgia’s Office of Fleet Management supports 160 agencies and manages over 20,000 vehicles and needed a way to control fuel spending, identify costly driver behaviors, and demonstrate measurable savings. To meet that challenge they partnered with WEX and deployed ClearView Fleet Analytics to give managers better visibility into purchasing and fleet activity.

WEX’s ClearView delivered dashboards, exception reporting and trend analysis that allowed the state to target driver behavior, train staff and move from reactive to proactive management. In the 2016 pilot the solution generated $27,000 in immediate savings, and as more agencies adopted ClearView the savings continued to spread across the fleet while audit and fiscal teams used the tool to tighten controls.
