How Pinterest opened a Seattle office in record time

Pinterest partnered with WeWork to solve a hypergrowth hiring challenge. As Pinterest expanded beyond the Bay Area, it needed a new Seattle office to help recruit and retain top sales and engineering talent, while still reflecting Pinterest’s inclusive, community-driven culture. The company wanted a space that could support very different work styles, from quiet focus areas for engineers to client-ready spaces for sales teams.

WeWork designed and built a custom private office in WeWork Denny Triangle, giving Pinterest a branded, flexible workspace in a prime Seattle location with premium amenities and room to grow. WeWork’s team helped create a half-floor office with a private entrance, interior design aligned to Pinterest’s brand, and spaces for both productivity and events. The result was rapid expansion: Pinterest grew from a planned five-person office to 55 employees within one year, and WeWork enabled the office to open in just six months.
