International Triathlon Union - Customer Case Study

International Triathlon Union (ITU), the world governing body for triathlon and related multisports, needed a better way to manage worldwide event planning across more than 30 events and 160 national federations. Using WeTrack’s Training Projects Support, the ITU wanted to replace spreadsheet-based processes with a more organized system that could give both central oversight and local autonomy.

WeTrack implemented a centralized project management platform for ITU operations, migrating 28 events in 2019 and expanding to 34 events in 2020, including the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. The solution gave LOCs an easy-to-use tool, automated event-specific reporting, and improved visibility for the central team, helping the ITU save significant time on work, meetings, and emails while supporting 1,570 users, 230 tasks, and 219 automated reports across 46 countries.
