Westfalia’s Automated Solutions Enhance The Glenmore Distillery’s New Distribution Center

Glenmore Distillery, a long-established bottling operation in Owensboro, KY, needed to prepare its new distribution center for future growth as part of Sazerac’s investment. To modernize storage, picking and inventory control, Glenmore engaged Westfalia Tech. Inc., selecting Westfalia AS/RS and Savanna.NET® WES to automate its material handling and warehouse execution.

Westfalia Tech. Inc. installed a high-bay AS/RS occupying 136,836 sq. ft. with roughly 36,748 storage positions, four tandem S/RMs (360 pallet moves/hour total), 52 staging lanes holding 416 pallets, and an automated layer-pick system (up to 150 layers/hour, 255 SKUs stored). Integrated with Savanna.NET® WES, the solution boosted picking efficiency, delivered 100% order accuracy, improved traceability, and provided scalable capacity to support Glenmore Distillery’s future growth.
