National Guard Products, a Memphis‑based manufacturer of more than 20,000 customizable weatherstripping and threshold products, needed a scalable ERP as it opened a second plant in Las Vegas. The company relied on a legacy ERP and Excel spreadsheets for bill of materials and inventory management, creating manual, knowledge‑dependent processes that hindered onboarding and growth. National Guard Products engaged Western Computer to modernize operations using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud.

Western Computer implemented Dynamics 365 Business Central with the Insight Works product configurator, built APIs (including a “bookings” API) to integrate Business Central with Salesforce, and trained internal staff—conducting much of the work remotely during COVID. The deployment enabled real‑time inventory and MRP forecasting, eliminated manual rekeying and input errors, allowed calculation of true revenue and complex commissions, and—measurably—let NGP ship at full capacity on day one of go‑live, while setting the stage for rolling Business Central out to additional locations.
