Eastwood Homes Switches From Sage Timberline to Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Eastwood Homes, a family‑owned homebuilder operating six divisions across the Southeast and growing from about 850 to 1,000 starts, was limited by its legacy Sage Timberline (Sage 300 CRE) accounting system. Timberline’s Pervasive database, slow processing (five–six minute task waits), and cumbersome export-based reporting hindered Eastwood’s “manage-by-exception” approach and its need to keep BuilderMT WMS workflows intact. To address these challenges, Eastwood selected Microsoft Dynamics NAV with implementation support from Western Computer.

Western Computer implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV integrated with BuilderMT, handling data migration from Timberline (via spreadsheets), customizing reports and dashboards, and training users. The NAV solution provides real‑time updates, role‑tailored dashboards, stronger BI and Office integration (one‑click Excel exports), and is expected to remove the prior processing delays while enabling consolidated divisional reporting and FASB compliance—positioning Eastwood to scale to ~1,000 starts and ~$200M in revenue.
