F-Secure, the Helsinki‑based global security software company, needed to deliver incremental updates, patches and new features to customers worldwide in multiple languages faster than traditional localization allowed. Welocalize supported F‑Secure as a primary localization partner, providing translation and localization services (using Catalyst™ and FTP workflows) for a variety of content into 13 languages to enable agile releases.

Welocalize implemented an agile localization process (in place with F‑Secure since 2005) based on weekly pre‑booked “kits” and fixed sprint hours, with average weekly translation time of 3–4 hours per locale and typical turnaround from receipt to handoff of one hour or less. By keeping consistent translator teams engaged across 13 languages, Welocalize reduced linguistic bugs (each estimated to cost about €1,000 to fix), increased consistency and translator retention, and improved scalability and time‑to‑market for F‑Secure’s releases.
