Culturally Adapting Web Content to Reach 38 Markets + Enhance User Experience

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, needed to relaunch its website across all platforms to simplify booking and improve the online user experience for customers in 38 countries. To deliver localized, culturally appropriate content in 23 languages (including adding Georgian for its new Kutaisi base), Wizz Air engaged Welocalize for translation and localization services, leveraging Welocalize’s GlobalSight TMS to manage the program.

Welocalize implemented a scalable localization strategy—developing English source materials, performing in‑depth market research and multilingual SEO, translating and fully testing web content on desktop and mobile, and building CMS connectors while automating workflows with GlobalSight. The result was a fully localized site live in 23 languages across 38 markets (with Georgian added), enhanced user experience and faster, more efficient content deployment, plus streamlined translation operations and 24/7 PM support from Welocalize.
