Case Study: Ending Community Homelessness Coalition achieves youth homelessness data and reporting success with WellSky Managed Services

WellSky Managed Services help Austin ECHO reach its goal of ending youth homelessness

Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO), the lead agency for Austin/Travis County’s Continuum of Care, faced a major challenge after being selected for HUD’s Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program. The new initiative required ECHO to track unusual quality-of-life measures, build new goals and metrics, and produce reports that went beyond standard HMIS and HUD requirements. ECHO turned to WellSky and its HMIS software plus Managed Services support to help handle the added complexity.

WellSky acted as an extension of ECHO’s team, with an implementation consultant helping design assessments, standardize data collection across providers, build reports in Qlik Sense, and create training materials for users. The result was a smooth YHDP launch in 2018 with encouraging early outcomes, few errors, improved data flow, and valuable reporting for HUD and other stakeholders. ECHO said it could not have launched the program without WellSky.
