LCRA, a 2,000-employee public utility that manages the lower Colorado River and provides water, energy and community services across diverse worksites, needed a wellness program that could reach a dispersed, multi-generational workforce and deliver whole-person wellbeing beyond typical physical activities. Seeking mobility, integration and customization, LCRA turned to WellRight and its configurable employee wellness platform and app to meet varying needs and increase participation.
WellRight implemented a highly configurable platform with quarterly programming, 30-day habit challenges, customized incentives and easy administration, going live ahead of LCRA’s timeline. The program produced measurable results: the proportion of employees with three or more biometric risk factors fell by almost 16% from 2017 to 2019, and in 2019 nearly 50% of employees who had been high-risk the prior year improved to fewer than three high-risk factors. LCRA credits WellRight’s platform, coaching and customizable challenges with driving higher engagement and meaningful behavioral change.
