North Midlands Credit Union faced the challenge of integrating multiple credit unions through mergers while needing to upgrade its IT infrastructure and expand its digital services for members. They partnered with their long-term IT provider, Wellington IT, to manage these complex projects, including hardware refreshes and the implementation of new online and mobile banking platforms.

Wellington IT successfully executed the mergers, migrating data into the Scion core system and upgrading hardware across all branches. They also implemented a new ATM and the cuOnline+ platform. The results were significant, including the creation of one of Ireland's largest credit unions with over 50,000 members. The new ATM alone processed over 32,000 transactions in six months, saving an estimated 186 working days. Wellington IT's support enabled the credit union to offer new services like current accounts and ensured operational stability during the pandemic.
