Cara Credit Union, one of the largest community-based credit unions in Munster, wanted to improve member self-service and reduce queues in branch for its 42,000+ members. To address this, it worked with Wellington IT to introduce a kiosk-based self-service solution.

Wellington IT implemented the kiosk in 2013, enabling members to carry out lodgements and withdrawals themselves. The result was an average of 588 transactions per week, savings of up to €36,600 per year, around 45 hours of operation time saved weekly, over 8,500 members using the kiosk, and a significant reduction in teller queues.
