Ballina Credit Union partnered with Wellington IT to improve the in-branch experience for members who wanted fast, simple transactions without waiting in queues. While members already had online access through cuOnline+, the credit union needed a better way to handle quick cash withdrawals and lodgements in branch.
Wellington IT implemented a self-service kiosk that lets members make withdrawals, lodgements, split cash across accounts, and request statements, while also detecting forged or unfit notes in line with BRF requirements. The result was a 17% time saving for staff, around 1.5 hours back per day, over 520 transactions in January 2020 alone, and a significant reduction in branch queues.
