Letterkenny Credit Union worked with Wellington IT to introduce an in-branch kiosk, initially to reduce counter footfall for routine transactions and free staff to focus on loans and member support. When the Covid-19 pandemic increased the need for social distancing, the credit union needed a safer way to keep handling standard services for members still visiting branch.

Wellington IT’s kiosk solution enabled members to complete lodgements, cash withdrawals, and statement requests themselves, with staff helping where needed. The impact was significant: kiosk transactions rose 170% in 2020 to date versus 2019, March 2020 saw over 470 transactions worth more than €53,000, and staff saved over an hour per day on manual processing while maintaining service continuity and safer in-branch operations.
