Case Study: Vale achieves high employee wellbeing engagement with Wellhub

The importance of strategic communication for high engagement

Vale, one of the world’s largest mining companies with roughly 55,000 employees in Brazil and operations in 30+ countries, needed a more agile, globalized approach to employee wellbeing that would work for both office and remote operational teams. To address this, Vale partnered with Wellhub and adopted Wellhub’s wellbeing platform and digital resources to deliver accessible, flexible, and user-friendly benefits across regions.

Wellhub rolled out its platform and partner network, combining in-person gym access with digital classes and tools, and supported Vale’s manager-led communication strategy. From December 2019 to October 2020 Vale achieved 54% employee registrations, 21% enrollment, over 1,255 partner locations visited, ~7,600 partner app downloads and more than 62,000 employee check-ins—results Vale cites as a milestone in reinforcing employee health and enabling at-home activity during the pandemic with Wellhub’s solutions.
