Aker Solutions delivers 3 condition monitoring systems with Weisang for Åsgard subsea project

Aker Solutions, an engineering service provider in the oil and gas industry, faced the challenge of monitoring a pioneering subsea gas compression pilot plant. They required a new type of condition monitoring system capable of archiving multiple weeks of raw, high-frequency data from several thousand channels for their "Åsgard Subsea Compression Project" in Norway. Weisang GmbH was selected to provide a solution using its HistoryBase ring buffer database and FlexPro analysis software.

Weisang implemented a high-performance system featuring a database server with 60 TB of storage to capture and archive terabytes of measured data without loss of information. The solution successfully provided valuable information during system start-up and test runs, leading Aker Solutions to award Weisang with a contract for three additional condition monitoring systems for the full-scale project. Weisang's expertise ensured all data remained available for in-depth analysis in the event of unexpected results, playing a key role in the world's first subsea gas compression station.
