Hotels4U.com, an award-winning Thomas Cook travel site with over 200,000 properties and millions of bookings, faced a competitive online market and rising mobile usage. To combat high abandonment and limited internal resources, the company needed a data-driven way to simplify the search-to-book process and lift website conversion rates.
Hotels4U partnered with Webtrends to run multivariate and A/B tests across the homepage, hotel details, booking funnel and mobile designs, combining the Optimize platform with specialist services. The changes drove a 5.52% increase in visitor conversions/online bookings, plus a 61% rise in mobile searches and a 22% lift in mobile visitors viewing hotel pages.
