Alitalia Increases Online Bookings Thanks to Webtrends

Alitalia, Italy’s leading passenger transport group, needed a way to make its online services simpler and more effective across 14 languages, while improving visits and conversion rates on a high-volume website. The airline turned to Webtrends, using Webtrends Optimize and Webtrends Analytics to better understand customer behavior and support its digital booking process.

Webtrends implemented testing and targeting on key pages, including the special offers and home pages, to identify the most effective versions and improve relevance. The results were strong: click-through conversions rose about 6%, online bookings increased by 7.09% in three months, and one optimized page drove 500 additional bookings in three weeks, worth about 220,000 euros per month.
