Hotels4U, part of the Thomas Cook Group, is an award-winning hotel booking website with a large worldwide property inventory, but it needed to improve visitor conversion in a highly competitive online travel market. To boost online sales on a modest budget, the company wanted to simplify the search-to-book journey, reduce abandonment, and capitalize on growing mobile usage. It turned to Webtrends Optimize for testing and targeting, including A/B testing and multivariate testing (MVT).
Webtrends Optimize worked with Hotels4U to run multivariate tests across the homepage, hotel details pages, booking funnel, and mobile site designs, providing development support and actionable reporting without adding strain to internal resources. The optimization program delivered a 61% uplift in searches, a 22% increase in mobile pageviews, and a 5.52% lift in online bookings, alongside a 5.5% increase in conversions.
