Total Fitness Introduces Webroot Web and Email Security Services

Total Fitness, a UK & Ireland leisure chain with 24 centres and up to 1,000 staff, needed to protect public café PCs and corporate email while keeping administration light for a two-person IT team supporting 300 users. They chose Webroot for perimeter email protection (Webroot® Email Security Service) and to extend to Webroot® Web Security Service for web filtering, seeking a reliable, easy-to-manage cloud solution that would block inappropriate content and reduce workload.

Webroot deployed its Email Security Service (and is being rolled out for Web Security), cutting daily filter-check time from about 30 minutes to 4 minutes and delivering fast support and fixes. In four weeks Webroot blocked 88% of 230,000 incoming messages as spam with no reported false positives, eliminated bounce-backs by holding mail on Webroot’s servers, and provided centralized reporting and scalable licensing—saving the Total Fitness IT team significant time while protecting the brand.
