New Webroot® Evasion Shield Empowers MSP to Protect Clients from Emotet and Malicious Scripts

Sinexia is an Italian managed service provider founded in 2014 that manages about 1,000 endpoints and has relied on Webroot Business Endpoint Protection (and in some cases Webroot DNS Protection) to secure its clients. Despite this, Sinexia faced evasive, script-based attacks—most notably Emotet—that forced time‑consuming reimaging (more than four hours per machine), eroded client trust, and left the team without clear visibility into fileless infections.

Webroot introduced the Evasion Shield feature in its endpoint product and Sinexia deployed the beta, immediately gaining automated blocking and better reporting. In five weeks Webroot blocked 55 malicious scripts and stopped at least three confirmed Emotet infections, eliminated much of the reimaging effort, provided lightweight protection with no performance impact, and restored client confidence while freeing Sinexia’s technicians for higher‑value work.
