College of Law Resolves Email Security Issue with Webroot® E-Mail Security SaaS

College of Law, a Guildford-based provider of legal education, was overwhelmed by spam across its 2,500‑PC network after its GWAVA solution proved unworkable. Seeking a more manageable, flexible approach that would allow students to access legitimate course material without over‑blocking, the College turned to Webroot and its Webroot® E‑Mail Security SaaS.

Webroot deployed a hosted, filter‑first E‑Mail Security SaaS with web-based administration, custom dictionaries and rule controls, and fast implementation and synchronization support. In the first four months Webroot blocked 6.5 million spam messages while passing just over 800,000 legitimate emails, reduced incoming junk to as much as 95% being identified and blocked at the peak, freed network bandwidth, and eliminated user complaints.
